Duke's Head (Hotel)

My husband and I had a very enjoyable overnight stay in this hotel. The bedroom was super clean as with everything else in the room. There was a coffee machine and teamaking facilities and some complimentary biscuits. We had breakfast which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I enjoyed a small breakfast. If there is a chance that we have to be in Wallington again we will definitely stay at the Duke's Head Hotel.

We had Sunday lunch (we did not stay in the hotel). The service was very good indeed, the food was delicious and plentiful and the cost was reasonable, very good value for money, highly recommended and we will we back soon. The staff are all excellent, friendly and helpful, Helen asked for a specific mention.... :-)

Upon entry, I really appreciated how lovely the fragrance was in the lobby. The decor, in all areas, was aligned, it has a clear theme, which I appreciated. I didn't take pictures of the property, as it's as seen on the website. While there was no one at the front desk at the time of my arrival, I followed the instructions, and someone came immediately to check me in. All staff, who I interacted with were pleasant, very polite, warm, and well informed/helpful. I may have missed it, but I couldn't find the WiFi code so I had to go down and ask. I didn't use the QR code, for room service.

I was over for a funeral so not the best situation, the Dukes Head was my passed friend’s local. The staff were amazing so sensitive and caring. The room was stunning excellent space and super comfortable. I thought the range of treats was a nice touch too. I would not hesitate to highly recommend the Dukes Head.

We had a fantastic stay at the Dukes Head. We have stayed before and whenever we visit Wallington it’s the “go to establishment”. We had an awful journey travelling on the M4 and M25 and arrived almost 3 hours late. However as soon as we arrived our troubles disappeared. We had such a warm welcome at the reception by the young lady on duty our difficult day became history. She friendly, caring and ever so helpful. She was an asset to the Dukes Head. She is a natural people person with a great future in the hospitality industry. The room was fantastic. Clean, warm and spacious. We had the best nights sleep ever. Breakfast was marvellous. A wonderful buffet selection and a superb cooked breakfast menu. Again the server was excellent (very polite and professional). We will be coming back again and again.. Thank you

I stayed here with my elderly dog for one week and I have to say it was excellent. Room was so clean and very well maintained My dog was given its own box hamper of treats and doggy teabags along with poo bags the staff were fantastic and obviously dog lovers Every one of the staff from bar staff to cleaners were friendly happy people which made my stay so welcoming

You realise you’ve chosen the right hotel the moment the spaniel strides forward to greet you. He stands in as receptionist with such poise that you half-expect him to request your booking reference. One gentle tail-wag settles you at once. If only more front-of-house teams worked with this level of charm. The restaurant runs with quiet confidence, serving food that brings British comfort and thoughtful craft together whilst reminding you that hospitality works best when it’s served with a smile and seasonal warmth. You sit down expecting a decent pub meal and end up wishing this kitchen trained half the country. Upstairs, the room transports you straight back to the familiarity of an English home. Think soft furnishings, homely colours, and the unmistakable sense that someone who cares about the little details. It feels warm, familiar, and wonderfully unhurried — as though time decided to pause for your benefit. The Dukes Head doesn’t chase glamour; it offers character, welcome, and a spaniel who runs the reception desk with absolute authority. That alone makes the trip worthwhile.

I have stayed at The Duke’s Head regularly for business and always have a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are modern, well kitted out and spotless, and the bar food is good too. Excellent value for money — highly recommended.
